Job Vacancy For Business Development Manager



Summary Purpose

• Lead targets-driven partnerships development and income Generation activities that will significantly contribute to the
sustainability of the organisation's mission-driven objectives

Initial Duties and Expectations

Responsibilities are, but not limited to:

• Report to Executive Director, support strategic initiatives for organisational sustainability
• Support the programmes and impact Directors with development of new initiatives to achieve their unit goals, work closely with other Managers and mentor junior staff
• Lead grant research, proposal initiation and drafting with quarterly milestones
• Build new institutional partnerships with quarterly milestones driven working plan
• Develop new opportunities to improve membership experience for educators
• Prepare proposals for market-facing consulting tenders and relevant education opportunities
• Build and maintain robust partnership database / rolodex with engaging activities
• Lead planning, drafting outreach and support relationship management of new partners
• Support implementation and reporting on successful project bids / tenders
• Support other units with planning, executing and reporting as needed
• Track and report on revenue generating activities per periodic targets and milestones and
• Raise the profile, growth, vitality for all implemented activities and partners

Qualification Required & Experience

• 5 to 10 years experience with 3 years in a similar role, A good Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or other appropriate field, experience or passion for Education or other appropriate field
• Experience or passion for education sector, demonstrable track record of successful proposals/pitches, results-driven ideation/entrepreneurship or going-to-market, ability to work with modern data analysis, presentation, IT and online collaboration software, demonstrable organisation leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
