The Parliamentary Service of Ghana is seeking the services of a qualified Ghanaian to fill the following post when its falls vacant: Clerk To Parliament

Job Summary

• The Clerk to Parliament is the head of the Parliamentary Service, member of the Parliamentary Service Board and the Principal Adviser to the Speaker, Leadership and Members of Parliament on matters on procedure, policy and administration
• The Clerk assist the Speaker of Parliament in ensuring that the Parliament of Ghana works in accordance with the constitution of Ghana and the standings orders of the house.
• The post holder shall exercise strategic leadership and good judgment for the day-to-day administration of the Service in accordance with the provisions of the Parliamentary Service Act (Act 460), 1993 and the Parliamentary Service (Staff) regulations, 2019, C.I 118.

Qualification Required & Experience

• A good Bachelor's Degree from a recognised university with a minimum of 18 years of continuous post-qualification experience in Administration, plus a Master's Degree or equivalent professional qualification
• A Master's Degree from a recognised university in a related field, with at least 15 years of post-qualification experience in Administration, plus a First Degree
• Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from a recognised university with at least 12 years of continuous post-qualification experience in Administration, plus a First Degree
• Applicant must have served at least on a grade of a Deputy Clerk or equivalent position in a Public Service Institution
• Applicants must be able to demonstrate competence and understanding of the rules and procedures of Parliamentary practice
• The position requires a mature, broad and deep executive ability decisions within broad interpretation of laws and regulations and to manage several divisions and departments engaged in a variety of functional activities/support services
