JOB DESCRIPTION

• The duties and responsibilities of successful candidates shall include but not limited to: teaching, research, technology adaptation, innovation and publication; curriculum development; setting and marking of assignments and examination questions; invigilation of examinations; submitting of marked scripts and results; supervision of students project work, dissertation and theses; offering academic counseling to students, assisting in the administration of the department; supervision of students internships and industry visits; mentoring of junior colleagues, extension work and/or service to the University and the nation; and any other related duties assigned by the Vice-Chancellor or his/her representative.

Qualification Required & Experience

A person seeking appointment as Senior Lecturer must:

• Have been appointed as Senior Lecturer in the relevant discipline in an accredited tertiary institution in Ghana or elsewhere;
• Possess a PhD in the relevant field of specialization;
• Have taught for a minimum of five (5) years as Lecturer in the institution where the applicant is coming from; and
• Have a minimum of six (6) publications in recognized and ranked reputable peer reviewed journals.
