Job Vacancy For Blended Finance Specialist
Global Affairs Canada, through the High Commission of Canada in Ghana, seeks to hire a Blended Finance (BF) Specialist to provide expert analysis and advice on innovative finance planning and management issues, trends and practices as they are related to the sustainability of the Modernising Agriculture in Ghana Programme (MAG).
Job Summary
• The BF Specialist will provide technical advice and support to the Ghana development programme with respect to building the capacity involving innovative finance projects in the areas of agriculture and climate smart agriculture
• This client may ask the Specialist to extend the mandate to the Climate Finance to identify blended financing opportunities to improve adaptation to climate change in the agricultural sector
• The BF Specialist will provide technical advice and support for the Ministry of Food and Agriculture in Ghana (MAG) programme as needed
The consultant must have the following knowledge and qualifications:
• Experience working monitoring or evaluation of blended finance programmes funded related to international development
The consultant should have the following experience and skills
• A master's degree from a recognized post-secondary institution
• Relevant work experience in Ghana or in Sub-Sahara Africa, or in an ODA eligible country
• Demonstrated experience providing technical advisory services on blended finance issues to bilateral or multilateral institutions
• Knowledge of the Government of Ghana's agriculture and agribusiness sectors
• Demonstrated experience working with government and/or donors in a technical capacity on a variety of impact investment issues with attention to project planning, budgeting and monitoring, including in government-donor coordination groups
• Excellent English writing and presentation skills
