Title: Head of Unit, Marketing and Public Relations
Reports To: Director, Corporate Affairs
Job Summary: Responsible for managing the organisation’s reputation, media relations, and external communications, and oversees the development and execution of PR campaigns that enhance public awareness, stakeholder trust, and institutional credibility.
Key Responsibilities:
• Take the lead in shaping the organisation’s brand identity and media relations, working closely with the Director, Corporate Affairs.
• Develop and implement the organisation’s public relations strategy, ensuring a strong brand presence and positive public perception.
• Oversee content creation for press releases, speeches, and corporate publications, ensuring clear and impactful messaging.
• Develop crisis communication plans, providing rapid responses to reputational risks and stakeholder concerns.
• Advise senior management on public relations matters, ensuring consistency in corporate messaging.
Qualification Required & Experience
Skills and Qualification Requirements:
• A Master’s degree in Corporate Communications, Media Studies, Business Administration is preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in public relations, media management, or corporate communication, with at least 4 years in a senior role.
• Leadership in public relations, crisis communication, and media engagement.
• Decision-making in corporate messaging, brand reputation management, and stakeholder outreach.
• Risk awareness in public perception, reputational threats, and crisis response.
• Understanding of social media strategy, corporate storytelling, and digital media trends.
• Charismatic and influential in shaping public perception.
• Adaptability to evolving communication platforms and audience expectations.
