Key Accountabilities:
Impact on the business:
• Support the Head of VBS in developing a sales strategy and plan by providing professional inputs and advice.
• Leadership of a professional business propositions and marketing team to meet targets for profitability and revenues, as agreed with the Head of Vodafone Business Solutions.
• Analyse and segment the Ghanaian enterprise solutions market and identify where Vodafone Business Solutions products and services should be positioned in terms of quality and price.
• Create and maintain a distinct Vodafone Business Solutions brand within the Vodafone Ghana “master brand” which
differentiates the Vodafone Business solutions from competitors and provides long-term and sustainable competitive
advantage.
• Establish business propositions and marketing processes and procedures to support the sale of enterprise products and services; develop value propositions for Vodafone Business Solutions products and services.
• Identify product and service gaps within the enterprise solutions market and commission the development of new
products and services, based on evidence of profitable market opportunities.
• Manage the product launch and “GoTo Market” campaigns of all new products and services, ensuring effective
implementation and hand-over to the in-life product management teams.
• Manage in-life products and services on a profit and loss basis. Manage product withdrawal at the end of the product life.
• Manage all marketing communications, including events, campaigns and sales collateral in conjunction with the
Vodafone Marketing Department.
• Manage customer satisfaction surveys and analyse the results, ensuring that service recovery plans are developed and implemented where necessary to improve satisfaction results at the next survey iteration. Work towards the
achievement of customer satisfaction targets as agreed with the Head of Vodafone Business Solutions.
• Use relevant metrics and measures to routinely monitor progress against targets and take appropriate managerial
action to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
• Provide performance data to support management decision-making.
• Ensure full compliance with telecommunications licence provisions, sector regulations and competition laws.
• Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external suppliers.
• Support the sale of complex communications solutions in large corporate customer organisations (consultative-based
selling) by developing effective counterpart relationships.
Leadership and teamwork:
• Success in creating and/or running an effective product marketing unit including new product development cycle
• Ability to design/implement product marketing processes
• Strong Coaching skills
• Ability to understand the needs of employees and to apply best practice people management techniques to ensure amotivated and productive work force
