The Directorate of Health (DOH) invites applications from highly motivated and qualified persons for the following position:

Job Summary:
Project Fives Alive! is a partnership between the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) and the National Catholic Health Service (NCHS) to reduce morbidity and mortality in children less than five years old in Ghana by applying the science of quality improvement (QI).

•  The Project Officer will provide direct technical assistance on the application of continuous QI methods in selected health facilities and communities and manage, stakeholder relationships in a given project area.

Qualification Required & Experience

•  Master level degree in any health-related field (e.g. public health, health services administration, health information management, health communication) or development.
•  A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a similar position. Applicants must have knowledge of the health sector.
•  Experience in health systems across the country and quality assurance or quality improvement is a plus.
•  Applicants must also have experience in data management and analysis.

Skills & Abilities:

•  The Project Officer must have strong project management skills and be able to do multitask.
•  He/she must also possess excellent interpersonal and team work skills.
•  Proficiency in Microsoft Office and excellent communication skills, including public presentations and facilitation of workshops are required.
