A reputable Construction Company on an exponential growth path is seeking highly motivated and qualified individuals for a Project Manager/Civil Engineer-Road

The Chief Civil Engineer will act as the overall head of the construction and operations function of the company. His principal responsibility will be to ensure maintenance of the construction and logistical requirements of the company to enhance productivity, cost efficiency and reduce waste.

Key Responsibilities

•  Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety or sanitation standards.
•  Direct construction, operations, and maintenance activities at project site.
•  Direct or participate in surveying to lay out installations and establish reference points, grades, and elevations to guide construction.
•  Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labour to determine project feasibility.
•  Prepare or present public reports, such as bid proposals, deeds, environmental impact statements, and property and right-of-way descriptions.
•  Test soils and materials to determine the adequacy and strength of foundations, concrete, asphalt, or steel.
•  Any other duties that may be assigned by management from time to time

Qualification Required & Experience

•  A degree in Civil engineering or related field from a recognized University
•  Applicants must have at least 5-10 years of work experience in the Ghana Road Construction sector.
•  Project management and construction experience is required.
•  Demonstrable experience in contract management and administration of complex/multiple projects with several contracts running concurrently.
•  Exposure to coordination of contracting and tendering procedures is highly desirable.
•  Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English
•  Must be able to plan, prioritize and pay attention to details.
•  Must have good interpersonal, negotiation and problem solving skills.
•  Must be a team player
•  Proficiency in MS project and Primavera and AutoCAD
