Job Summary

•  Under the Chief Finance Officer, will be responsible among others for leading the procurement team, develop, plan and implement fraud free procurement strategy across the business to ensure efficient utilization of company resources in the procurement process as well as the efficient disposal of unserviceable and absolete store

Major Accountabilities

•  Develop, implement and drive the procurement strategy and policy across the company
•  Create and drive supplier management strategy to maximize performance
•  Direct the use of best practice to control risk linked to purchasing activity and supplier management
•  Ensure international and company regulatory requirements are met.
•  Manage and develop an efficient procurement team and establish individual and team performance standard
•  Ensure an efficient and timely disposal of absolete and unserviceable stores
•  Perform administrative duties in respect of staff supervision including the conduct of annual appraisals.
•  Actively promote safety culture and awareness at all times and ensure a safe workplace policy

Qualification Required & Experience

•  A University First Degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification from an accredited University and a professional qualification in Purchasing and Supply
•  Must have a minimum of not less than 3 years post professional or functional leadership experience in the procurement function
•  Must be a computer literate in procurement software
•  Must have excellent negotiating skills
•  Good communication and interpersonal skills
•  Must be honest with a high level of integrity
•  Possess a good knowledge in the application of procurement procedures of international and multi-national organisations
•  Extensive understanding of the Local and International market
•  Proven analytical skills
•  Ability to work under pressure
