The ARB Apex Bank Limited (Apex Bank) is a Public Limited Liability Company Incorporated under the Companies Code (Act 179 (1963) and owned by the Rural and Community Banks in ghana. It has been licensed by the Bank of Ghana and acts as a 'Mini Central Bank' for the Rural and Community Banks (RCBs).

Job Summary

The ARB Apex Bank invites applications from suitably qualified applicants for the above position.

Job Purpose:
To formulate and enforce Security Policies and Programmes for the ARB Apex Bank and the RCBs to ensure information assets are adequately protected.

Duties and Responsibilities:

•  Perform information security risk assessments
•  Manage security policies and procedures that will ensure adequate protection and use of information
•  Promote activities to create information security awareness programmes within the Apex Bank and RCB network
•  Ensure proper information security policies and procedures
•  Develop security plans throughout the organisation's network that will ensure information protection
•  Co-ordinate the activities of Information Security within the bank that will ensure information protection
•  Advise the organisation with current information about information security technologies and related regulatory issues
•  Define and monitor system controls to ensure that appropriate access levels are maintained
•  Develop, review and implement Disaster Recovery Programmes
•  Manage and spearhead the Disaster Recovery Programme

Qualification Required & Experience

•  BSc. Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or Information Technology with at least ten (10) years Information Technology Experience, including five (5) years experience in IT security and/or related functions
•  Must be a certified Information Security personnel with accredited Information Security Certifications, such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CCSP or CCNP Security
•  Sound understanding of IT Risk Management Principles
•  Broad understanding of all IT Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity
•  Solid understanding of security architecture and security capabilities of major operating systems and Systems Security such as: Windows Server 2008 and up, Linux, Database Security, Firewalls, Intrusion Prevention Systems, Directory Services, IP Telephony, Router and Switch security
