The University: On May 14, 2004 the University of Education Act, Act 672 was enacted to upgrade the status of the University College of Education of Winneba to the status of a full University. The University of Education, Winneba was established in September, 1992 as a University College under PNDC Law 322. University of Education, Winneba brought together seven diploma awarding institutions located in different towns under one umbrella institution. Currently the University has three campuses. The main campus is at Winneba in the Central Region, with satellite campuses at Kumasi and Ashanti Mampong in the Ashanti Region.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the above position in the University of Education, Winneba.

Qualification Required & Experience

Candidate must not be more than fifity-five (55) years and must be professional status. In addition, candidate must:

•  Possess Ph.D degree in science/social sciences related discipline
•  Have taught for a minimum of two (2) years as a Professor or have considerable number of years of teaching/research experience with a university or a comparable institution
•  Have at least twenty (20) refereed publications since appointment as lecturer, eight (8) of which should have been published after promotion to Associate Professor
•  Have administrative experience in a university and must have attained national recognition
•  Have excellent interpersonal skills
•  Produce any other evidence of continuous research/professional activities
•  Have a good strategic vision that can transform the College of Technology Education into an international recognized institution

Experience in fundraising would be an advantage
