Abosso Goldfields Ltd, a subsidiary of Gold Fields Limited. Located in a tropical climate, the Damang Gold Mine is a world-class operation,consisting of 25 Mtpa open pit-mining operations and a 5.2 Mtpa CIL metallurgical plant. The mine is situated in the Western Region of Ghana and is ISO 14001 and OHSAS18001 certificated. It has a current Life of Mine expectency to the year 2019 and beyond.

Description Of Job

Purpose of the Job:-
The Human Resources Department of Gold Fields Ghana, Tarkwa Mine seeks to engage the services of an experienced and self motivated individual to assist in the effective management of the Human Resource needs of the mine. The successful candidate will also liaise with stakeholders and relevant officials of other departments to ensure effective and timely delivering of HR services while ensuring the development, implementation and maintenance of best-fit HR systems.

Key Responsibilities:

. Assist in the effective management of the Human Resource needs
. Employee Relations including Discipline and Grievance handling
. Ensuring that periodic reports meet set time frames and targets
. Ensuring that HR systems are developed, implemented and maintained
. Supervision of subordinates in ensuring that set targets and objectives are achieved
. Keeping abreast with applicable legislature and HR best practices
. Executing daily routine work in accordance with policies and procedures within prescribed guidelines
. Liaising with relevant officials of other departments in order to ensure that HR services are delivered on time

Qualification Required & Experience

Key Requirements:

. A recognized tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management or related field
. Knowledge of SAP Systems (HR/Payroll)
. At least 3 years experience in a similar position or job
. Well developed oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to interact with people of diverse cultures and levels
. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
. Strong Analytical Skills
. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
. Medical fitness for the position and environment
. A valid and current light duty vehicle license and proficiency in driving a light vehicle
