A Five Star Hotel in Accra is looking for a Food and Beverage Manager

Key Responsibilities

•  Ensure the provision and maintenance of highest standards in food and beverage services to achieve corporate core values of best practice, service excellence and maximum guest satisfaction
•  Plan, direct, control and monitor all activities of the Food and Beverage Services department
•  Organise and supervise food and beverage operations in the restaurants and bars
•  Responsible for the day-to-day management of the department
•  Provide guidance to achieve efficient operation of the different services of the department, including responsibility for the inventory of restaurant and bar equipment
•  Draw up duty roster, ensure the discipline, conduct and appearance of staff in the department
•  Prepare and schedule maintenance and repair programmes and institute measures to monitor and effect corrective actions whenever faults or other problems arise with the equipment and facilities of the hotel
•  Oversee the activities of the various sections and to intervene tactfully where necessary
•  In consultation with the Kitchen and management, set prices for meals with a view to increase business by giving greater satisfaction to guests.
•  Ensure the observance of hygiene and safety precautions and standards in the department
•  Develop and implement cost reduction programmes and strategies for the department
•  Previous experience with food and labour cost control.

Qualification Required & Experience

•  A degree in Hotel Management
•  Certificate in Food and Beverage Management
•  Minimum of Ten (10) years experience in positions of high responsibility in the food and beverage, managing of at least 120 staff.
•  Knowledge of Opera (Point of Sale, Sales and Catering), Micros (F&B Point of Sales, Material Control) is an added advantage
