Reports to the Chief  Finance Officer

Scope
The role of the Management Accountant is to  provide timely, accurate and reliable information for control, performance evaluation and decision making.

Responsibilities

•  Budget planning and preparation
•  Budgetary control
•  Product costing and profitability analysis
•  Inventory accounting
•  Analysis of materials consumption & variances
•  Preparation of financial statements
•  Monitoring capital expenditure, fixed assets management  and projects appraisal
•  Train & develop team

Qualification Required & Experience

•  B.Com, BSc.(Accounting /Finance) or its equivalent  from a recognized university.
•  Professional qualification -  ICA III or ACCA II.
•  More than three years practical experience in management accounting in manufacturing organization.

Competencies

•  Have high proficiency in computer applications (e.g. Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Internet skills).
•  Be self motivated, have ability to analyze and write good reports.
•  Have good leadership, people management  and communication skills particularly attuned to working well with non-finance professionals.
•  Be willing to work extra hours.
•  High degree of communication.
•  Experience and understanding of manufacturing  accounts.
