Job Summary
WUSC is seeking a person to manage its projects, programs and contracts in Accra, Ghana.

Qualification Required & Experience
The Ideal Candidate would have:
• A graduate university degree in international development; education; management; economics; or other relevant discipline. An under-graduate university degree plus equivalent experience could be considered
• A minimum of 10 years of progressively more responsible assignments related to management of development projects, at least 3 years of which must be overseas (preferably in Africa) and two 2 years managing international volunteers;
• Proven managerial, administrative and organizational leadership skills, including knowledge of financial and narrative reporting procedures, a solid track record in strategic programming and project planning & implementation;
• Proven experience managing teams of staff;
• Diplomatic skills, proven intercultural and interpersonal skills;
• Experience in needs analysis, capacity building and training;
• Knowledge of national strategies for poverty reduction;
• Proven experience of adaptability to a challenging and constantly changing environment requiring interactive planning on a regular basis;
• A solid knowledge of computer office applications including spreadsheets, financial management and word processing software;
• Proven knowledge of and commitment to the concepts of Gender Equity;
• Experience working within a donor supported project including a working knowledge of Results Based Management (RBM);
• Complete fluency in English, including excellent oral and written communication skills; knowledge of French is an asset
