A leading paper processing Factory with specialisation in Paper Converters, Colour Printers, Packaging & General Industrial Products located in Tema with Head Office in Accra.

Purpose of the position

Manages and co-ordinates the human resource functions for the company including manpower planning, recruitment & selection, orientation, placement, compensation packages, performance management, staff capacity building and effectiveness

Key Responsibilities

•   Develops, plans and implements strategies, policies, and programmes for HR management and development
•   Co-ordinates recruitment and selection process
•   Develops and implements schemes for staff training, development and succession planning
•   Ensure appropriate maintenance of office records, job description, files and reports including personnel records to improve quality, reliability and current data and information
•   Organizes orientation of new recruited staff
•   Advises on appropriate compensation schemes and packages
•   Develop and administer Human Resource Policies and procedures
•   Ensures sound labour relations and well-being of employees

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (human resource management) option, Social sciences from a recognized institution
•   Membership of HR professional institute will be an advantage
•   Minimum of 8 (eight) years of progressively responsible professional human resource administration practice

Technical Competences

•   Knowledge in modern trends in Human Resource Management and standard office administration practice
•   Indepth knowledge of the Ghana labour law (Act 651)
•   Ability to organized and deliver supervisory and management trainings
•   Strong report writing and presentation skills
•   Proficient in the use of Microsoft office suite

Personal Competencies

•   Ability to relate effectively to people at all level
•   Ability to enforce policies and standard firmly
•   Assertiveness - Ability to articulate views and decisions and stick to them where necessary
•   Good verbal and written communication skills
