World Vision Ghana (WVG) is looking for a highly qualified, proactive, motivated and resourceful person to fill the position:-
Job Title : Design, Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist
Job Grade Level: HAY16
Purpose of the Position
• To lead and support National Office Learning through Evaluation with Accountability and planning (LEAP) capacity building and other Terms of References (TORs) within the LEAP platform as well as lead the roll out of new initiatives within the framework of Partnership, Regional and National policies
Major Responsibilities
• Provide general support and coordination to the Operational Base offices and Area Development Programmes (ADPs) including technical backstopping on LEAP processes
• Support Leap processes, Assessment, Designs, Redesigns, Evaluation and Transitions
• Conduct Baselines, Evaluation and measurement of Child Well Being (CWB) Targets and regular updates of LEAP Implementation database
• Train staff in the use of LEAP tools, templates, formats, standards and guidelines
• Coordinate information on Project Management Information System (PMIS) and build capacity of staff on PMIS functionalities to ensure effective utilization of PMIS in WVG
• Provide technical backstopping and leadership in the production of all Leap Process reports, including review and submission of semi-annual and annual programmes and project reports, budgets and Detailed Implementation Plans (DIPs)
• Support the development of programmatic sectoral (education, food security, health, WASH) strengthening and institutional linkages Strategy
• Support in concept paper development and proposal writing
• Provide support to other divisions within the National Office to assure the quality and compliance of programme delivery to audit requirements and standards
Qualification Required & Experience
• Minimum Educational level required : Degree in Planning, Development Studies, Agriculture, Natural Resources Management, Social Sciences or any relevant field
• Masters Degree preferred
• Experience: At least five (5) years relevant working experience
Other Competences/Attributes
• Abreast with the application of all LEAP tools and DM&E processes of Partnership
• Thorough knowledge of World Vision’s LEAP tools and ability to train others
• Excellent time management skills
• Excellent hands on experience in the construction and review of multi-year log frames and LEAP budget templates
• Strong analytical and report writing skills
• Thorough knowledge of MS Office suite and Lotus Notes, Knowledge of other statistical packages such as SPSS an advantage
• Strong leadership abilities
• Ability to exhibit strong culture of responsiveness, innovations and initiative
Salary: GHS3,047.42 + Benefits
