Vacancy At Ministry Of Education For Project Administrative Officer



The Government of Ghana has receive a credit from the World Bank towards the cost of the Ghana skills and Technology Development project (GSTDP) and intends to apply apart of the proceeds to eligible payments under the contract for the engagement of suitable qualified individuals for the following position to the based the projects support (PSU) in Accra:

Duties:

. Work closely with the PSU team and the SDF Division for annual review of progress against Annual Work Plan and agreement on necessary budget revisions with project deliverable
. Assists the supervision mission participants; consultants and/or project staff in various ways including preparing detailed itinerary of meetings, logistical support and documentation, including arranging the travel itineraries, as required
. Organizing and coordinating training, workshops and conferences on behalf of the project.
. Liaise with stakeholder organizations ensuring the proper flow and dissemination of the project information, storage of soft and hard copies.
. coordinate and assist in travel arrangements, and logistics of project personnel
. Prepare internal and external correspondence, monthly, quarterly and annual reports, press releases, statements, speeches and presentations.
. Manage vehicle and office logistics and provide welfare support for staff issues.
. Any other task assigned by the project coordinator

Qualifications And Experience

. Must have a university degree in Public Administration, Finance, Development Management, Economics, Human Resource Management, Social Studies or in a related discipline.
. Masters degree in a related field will be an added advantage
. Minimum of four (4) years of relevant work experience in administration and a commitment to acquire additional skills needed for the assignment.
. Experience in a donor project in an educational sector will be an added advantage
. Experience in and the ability to build and sustain a network in Ghana of people, organizations and partners in sectors relevant for the implementation of GSTDP in Ghana.
. Knowledge of administration, documentation and project management systems.
. Demonstrated ability to serve as an information resource on status of project, disbursements, procurement stages, and tracking of project timelines
. Strong interpersonal and practical problem-solving skills; including ability to communicate effectively, in writing and orally, in English.
. Highly proficient in computer software application (e.g. Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
