Job Summary
 
The job description includes, but not limited to the following:

•   Develop and implement marketing strategies, in conjunction with the General Manager
•   Analyze industry trends and be prepared for emergent marketing strategies
•   Develop and implement an events calendar for every year
•   Identify unclaimed markets and develop strategies for getting a share of those markets
•   Research competitors products and services to give the hotel a competitive edge in the industry
•   Generate specific sales reports when needed
•   Keep a database of hotel clients and maintain a healthy working relationship with them all
•   Keep sales operations well within budget
•   Manage all activities of the sales department
•   Responsible for duty scheduling of the sales team

Job Requirement/Skills

•   Candidate must have excellent customer service and people management skills
•   Candidate must have effective selling and negotiation skills
•   Must have knowledge about financial management and must be profit-focused
•   Candidate must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
•   Candidate must be very energetic and highly motivational
•   He/she must be very innovative
•   He/she must be passionate about the hotel industry

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Minimum of first degree with at least 3 years working experience in similar position with an international standard hotel
•   Professional qualification in Sales and Marketing
