The Fair Wages and Salaries Commission invites applications from suitably qualified persons who are goal-oriented, results-driven, with exceptional qualities and enthusiasm for appointment to the under-mentioned position: Director (Pay Policy Analysis and Research)
Object of the position:
The Pay Policy, Analysis and Research Director provides support to the Chief Executive, in the management and promotion of effective and efficient pay policy, analysis and research activities of the Commission.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Conduct compensation survey on job classifications, benefits and salaries
• Undertake research on salaries, benefits and allowances
• Audit implementation of public sector pay policy to ensure compliance
• Review and propose changes to salary related components in enactments
• Disseminate research findings for effective management decision making
• Ensure that the balance of internal consistency, external competitiveness and employee performance are fully reflected in the Public Service Pay System
• Develop the framework for the collection of appropriate job related information for the creation of compensation database, and
• Undertake pay policy formulation and analysis
Qualification Required & Experience
• A good first Degree from a recognized University/Institution in Finance, Economics or Social Sciences plus a Master's degree in Operations Research, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or Human Resource Management
• Must have not less than ten (10) years' post qualification work experience, five (5) years of which should have been in a senior management position
