Overall Responsibilities
Reporting to the Country Director, the Programs Manager is part of the management team and is responsible for technical support to the entire program, overseeing on-going programs reporting, monitoring and evaluation and preparing and following project work plans for Ghana.
Key Responsibilities
• Participate in programme development, develop concept papers for new proposals and coordinate and participate in the development of project proposals
• Oversee the preparation of all reports including monthly, semi-annual and annual reports, surveys, workshops and technical reports in the district according to the organisation and donor requirements
• Maintain and coordinate good working relations with the Partner Radio Stations, community, the District, line Ministries, and other NGOs partners
• Facilitate project planning, implementation and reviews with all stakeholders
• Actively participate in the development of systems for project monitoring and evaluation, reporting, and other related functions.
• Design project specific monitoring and evaluation tools and instruments in line with the overall organisations monitoring and evaluation system
• Oversee the organisation’s data collection Report writing and data management
• Develop, modify and synchronize all reporting formats in the organisation and regularly review the formats to ensure that all the required qualitative and quantitative information can be gathered through the tools
• Spearhead the design, development and maintenance of the organisation’s Information Management System
• Organise, attend regular review meetings with key stakeholders to monitor progress of overall Farm Radio programs
• Participate in the design of the organisation’s publications such as IEC materials, Brochures and leaflets
• Support staff and stakeholders capacity in Fund raising, project planning, monitoring and evaluation
• Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time
Qualification Required & Experience
• University Degree (Masters) with background in Development Studies, Agriculture Communication or Project Management
• Understanding experience in integrated developmental issues
• Experience in Agriculture Value Chain Analysis and the role of radio in the value chain Understanding of the countries agricultural developmental issues, constraints and opportunities for improving food security
• Demonstrate experience as developmental professional in planning, monitoring, evaluating programs, managing different projects and report writing
• Networking experience with development partners and in the country and at the international level
• Understand the context of radio and ICTs in the extension delivery
• Demonstrated excellence in project management at all level
• Proven experience in a similar position in reputable international organization
• A minimum of 6 years’ experience with at least 4 years’ experience in similar position
