Job Vacancy For Procurement Manager
A leading Real Estate company is recruiting for a Procurement Manager
Responsible for the strategic development and overall management of the Procurement Department through Purchasing, Contracts Management and Inventory Management.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Develop and implement strategies, policies and procedure to ensure an efficient, best practice, value for money and industry focused procurement function within the company
• Ensure that all suppliers are compliant with relevant legislation including Tax, Bribery & corruption and Health & safety
• Responsible for the protection and efficient utilization of stores items especially building materials of all kinds
• Implements sourcing strategies to support company and departmental objectives, providing the company competitive advnatage in the areas of materials, supplies and service / implement appropriate sourcing strategies to control the company's purchased material cost and to assure an adequate source of supply.
• Locate, analyse and develops a consolidated supplier base to meet current and future material needs of the company
• Create and maintain mutually beneficial long-term partnerships with suppliers to foster feeback and continuos improvement / Maintain and promote sound relationships with suppliers and the business community
• Negotiate and manage all contracts and agreements for assigned supplies

• Manage suppliers, cost, quality and delivery performance
• Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of the procurement process
• Undertake periodic stock taking to ensures adequate stock levels are maintained
• Ensures the store items are well arranged and records kept up to date with store items discarded.
• Assigns duties to and monitors activities of immediate team members to ensure achievement of performance targets.
• Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time
Professional Skills
• Knowledge of procurement methods and procedures of a large scale centralised purchasing function including buying, quality assurance, contract administration and contract law
• Outstandin interpersonal, cross cultural skills
• Ability to work under stres and little or no supervision
• Computer literate and proficient in office computer applications
• Ability to interpret and make decisions in accordance with rules, regulations, and policies governing the purchase and contracting of materials and services for the company.
• Ability to keep records and prepare reports
• Ability to communicate with and relate effectively with people at all levels.
Qualification Required & Experience
• HND in Purchasing & Supplies / Bachelor's degree in business administration / management or equivalent qualification
• 5 - 8 years working experience in a similar position
• Membership of a professional body such as Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply, MCIPS (UK) etc. would be an aaded advantage
• A second degree may be an added advantage
