Tullow Ghana requires EHS Training Mentor/ Coach (Ghana) for immediate employment.

Reports To: EHS Performance Team Leader and Emergency Response Practitioner

EHS Functional Team members under development and trainee EHS advisors

Job Purpose:

To coordinate training requirements for the EHS Functional personnel in Ghana. Development of Ghanaian nationals and expatriates where required.

Perform any EHS task as required by the operation, e.g. auditing, accident incident investigation etc.

Responsibilities / Key Objectives:

•   The development of EHS trainees and staff into that of competent EHS professionals.
•   Oversee implementation of operational systems and procedures to include but not limited to: Permit to Work System, Tullow Safety Rules.
•   Supervise the NVQ programme for EHS trainees and department members.
•   Conducts safety induction for all visitors and new employees as and when required.
•   Monitor compliance against the monthly EHS schedule
•   Lead and/or participate in an Incident Investigation finding the root causes and taking remedial actions.
•   Produce monthly progress reports on training and competency within the EHS dept.
•   Perform gap analysis on EHS training needs and shortfalls on a regular basis.
•   Perform the duties of an EHS advisor as and when required operationally.
•   Lead or participate in audits as per TGLs annual audit schedule.
•   Line management function for EHS at the Takoradi Logistics base.

Financial Responsibility:

•   Budget level accountability to be defined & agreed within EHS & Corporate Budget Guidelines.

Qualification Required & Experience

Education:

•   Degree or equivalent in OHSP.  A formal qualification in EHS, e.g. NEBOSH General Certificate or Diploma.

Skills:

•   Passion for EHS
•   Promotion of EHS values and Tullow behaviours
•   Competent with computer packages
•   Knowledge of operational and technical EHS issues
•   Competency based assessor.
•   Good interpersonal and oral presentation skills
