Job Vacancy For Operations Manager At Geo Multi Micro Credit Finance Ltd (Tarkwa)

SCOPE OF JOB

•   The Operations Manager will support the General Manager in the effective and efficient administration of the company, especially in the areas of deposit mobilisation, credit administration and recoveries.
•   He/ She may also be expected to assist in policy formulation, process improvements and adherence to rules & regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key Deliverables

•   Speedy but accurate credit review process.
•   Aggressive but creative selling of company’s products
•   Creative and timely resolution of customers’ complaints.
•   Achieve customer service excellence in operations.

Operational tasks

•   To ensure accurate delivery in documentations and processing of loans.
•   Coaching and mentoring of subordinate staff.
•   Ensure that all operations are validated.
•   Supervise and ensure that reports are submitted on time and all unmet expectations escalated within 24 hours.
•   Undertaking variance analysis of budgets and submitting reports on same.
•   To ensure proof of all GL accounts are prepared and balanced twice monthly and all long outstanding items are promptly investigated and regularized.
•   Ensure that team’s targets for deposit mobilisation and loan disbursements are achieved as agreed.
•   Focus on value adding activities and ensuring that laid down procedures under account opening are being followed in accordance with all governance standards.
•   See to the effective management and operations of the back office.

Regulatory requirements / Compliance

•   To ensure the company’s policy on all operational issues are strictly adhered to.
•   To ensure that BOG requirements & reporting deadlines are met at all times.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance, Micro Finance Management, Credit Management and or member of a Recognized Professional Body – Chartered Instituted of Bankers (CIB Ghana).
•   Minimum of three (3) years practical work experience with a financial institution, preferably a Micro Finance Company.
•   Proficiency in computer software, including word processing, spreadsheet, finance and presentation applications, accounting and credit management software, etc .
•   Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and the main or widely spoken local languages.
•   Must demonstrate a high sense of professionalism, diligence and integrity.
•   Must be in good health and willing to travel within operational area.
•   Excellent leadership and people management skills.
•   Ability to plan, organize, direct and coordinate events from conception to delivery.
•   Must be smart and able to work under intense pressure.
•   Must be able to delegate effectively.
