Job Purpose:
To develop, communicate and facilitate best practice policies & procedures to the Group. Provide HR services & support to Accra or Takoradi based Group functions.
Responsibilities / Key Objectives:
• Providing staffing and recruitment support.
• Supporting talent management initiatives.
• Supporting the management of performance culture across the business.
• Facilitating compensation process and benefits administration;
• Providing support to Managers to create a climate that engages employees.
• Managing employee relations and coordinate employee engagement activities
• Manage business specific activities
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR systems
Financial Responsibility: As per Delegation of Authority
Qualification Required & Experience
Person Specification
Education:
• A good first degree in Human Resources or a related field;
• Minimum of five (5) years working experience in Human Resource management in a customer-focused business environment;
• Extensive experience in the Extractive/Manufacturing/Oil & Gas industry;
• Relevant professional qualifications and membership of a recognised Human Resource body such as CIPD, SHRM, IHRMP (Ghana);
• Good knowledge and appreciation of local and international labor legislation;
• Numerate with strong I.T./Analytical Skills;
• Strong Communication Skills.
Skills:
• Experience of leading recruitment / resourcing activities and working knowledge of Ghanaian employment law, ideally with some experience of international employment law/issues.
• Strong personal customer service orientation and experience of working in a customer-focused HR function.
• Good oral and written communication skills,
• Willing to do all aspects of HR work, from producing spreadsheets to influencing key decisions, and with the ability to continually come up with new ideas for how things can be done more effectively.
