Job Vacancy For Deputy Finance Manager
A reputable multinational company engaged in the provision of trade solutions and advisory services to both public and private sectors has vacancy for dynamic persons to join its wining team as: Deputy Finance Manager
Primary Responsibilities
• To support the Finance Manager to provide a professional and comprehensive financial services support to the Management Team as well as to staff. The Job holder is to plan, direct and coordinate financial Management activities of the company to maximize the strategic use of resources within legal requirement and within processes, systems and tools as defined by the Group.
Duties / Responsibilities
• Assists in ensuring effective Business and financial strategy and planning, monitoring, management and reporting, including management and development of policies, systems, processes and personnel involved
• Reporting and accounting as per regulatory and legal requirements including taxation, dividends, annual report and accounts.
• Assists Line Manager in the preparation of Budget for the company including evaluation and monitoring actual performance against budget.
• Assist in financial staff management to ensure that sound accounting practices are complied with.
• Other areas of potential responsibility: company insuance, import / export administration, licencing, contracts and agreements, legal areas and activites, corporate level negotiations, (e.g. premises, plant, trading, acquisitions and divestment, disposals), major supplier / customer / partner relationships, regulatory bodies relationships and strategies, approvals and acreditations
• Ensures a general duty of care in the entire business operations
Qualification Required & Experience
• Minimum of 1st Degree n Accounting
• Recognised accounting qualification (CA, ACCA, CIMA, etc)
• Minimum of five (5) years working experience in all aspects of Accounting with a multinational company, three (3) of which should be at a Managerial level
• Experience with the information Technology industry will be an advantage
• Conversant with all (IFRS) & National Financial Regulations
• Experience in developing and improving financial systems
• Excellent usage of Sun System % and Microsoft Office
• Good interpersonal skills and demonstrated leadership experience
• Very Good reporting skills
