DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate shall:
• Supervise Budget Unit staff
• Review Annual Income and Expenditure forecasts
• Analyse Income and Expenditure trends to rationalize set asides
• Agree Full/Partial provisions with Deputy Finance Officer Management Accounts
• Participate in Resource Allocation Committee deliberations
• Re-organize Draft Operating Budget after Budget hearing
• Review Performance Reports
• Lead in the preparation of MTEF Budget
• Review of Income and Expenditure Returns to NCTE
• Other assignments particularly representing the Budget Unit at meetings/Workshops/Seminars in the area of budgeting
• Be a resource person to needy outfits requiring assistance during preparation of operational budget and performance reports
Qualification Required & Experience
• Member of either CA, CIMA, ACCA or CPA with a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience;
• A Postgraduate qualification in Finance or Accounting & Finance will be an added advantage;
• A working experience in a budget unit within an Institution of Higher Education will be an added advantage;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
