Duties & Responsibilities:
• Administer and coordinate the company’s Induction program.
• Facilitate new employee data and maintenance on the Payroll Unit.
• Assist with the administration and maintenance of the staff performance review process.
• Work closely with departments, in a consultancy role, assisting department heads to understand and implement policies and procedures.
• Promote equality and diversity as part of the organization culture.
• Liaise with employees on issues relating to Staff performance, Health and Safety etc.
• Recruit staff – this includes developing job descriptions and person specifications, preparing job adverts, checking application forms, shortlisting, interviewing and selecting candidates.
• Develop and implement policies on issues such as working conditions, performance management, equal opportunities, disciplinary procedures and absence management.
• Prepare and update staff policies and procedures
• Advise on pay and other remuneration issues, including promotion and benefits.
• Negotiate with staff on issues relating to pay and conditions of service.
• Administer payroll and maintaining employee records.
• Interpret and advise on employment law.
• Deal with grievances and implement disciplinary procedures.
• Develop with departmental heads, HR planning strategies with emphasis on immediate and long-term staff requirements.
• Analyze and implement training needs in conjunction with departmental managers.
• Plan, and assist in the delivery of training,
• Collect mandatory data to analyze client situation.
• Directly responsible for the management of Customer Service Advisors.
• Carry out all other duties as assigned by the Head of Business.
Qualification Required & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three years of responsible administrative support at a mid- managerial level, two years of which should include leadership, management and/or supervisory experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and other applicable systems/software.
• Excellent Understanding and knowledge of The Ghana Labour Act 651
Other Skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
• Must be creative and resourceful with excellent technical and superior analytical skills to combine different types of information intelligently to find patterns and issues, and then articulate these findings in a simple and transparent manner.
