Description Of Job

Region: Kumasi And Takoradi with frequent trips outside of base station

The Driver and Sales Agent is responsible for providing reliable transportation service to Relief International’s Social Enterprise Program in Ghana to facilitate transportation of products within the supply chain and to new markets, to make sales of products and payments to stakeholders and to operate and maintain assigned vehicle(s).

Main Responsibilities:

•  Contribute to the marketing of products including but not limited to: direct sale of items, purchasing product from producers and supplying to others along the supply chain
•  Responsible for the accurate managing of funds when purchasing and/ or selling product and accurate record keeping and receipts
•  Maintain assigned vehicle(s) of the Social Enterprise program in a safe and roadworthy condition at all times ;
•  Maintain vehicles in accordance with the manufacturer's recommended service schedule by an authorized service provider and coordinate periodic vehicle maintenance with supervisor to minimize interruptions;
•  Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and be responsible for the purchase of fuel and any other lubricants as and when the need arises;
•  Responsible for the proper garaging and/or securing of vehicles in project office and on the field as directed by supervisor;
•  Maintain accurate and up-to-date travel log documentation, vehicle maintenance, fuel purchases, incident or accident reports, vehicle condition reports and other records;
•  Perform other tasks as required for the success of project operations as determined by Enterprise Development Manager.

Qualification Required & Experience

Required Qualifications:

•  Must have a minimum of Senior Secondary School or O’ level certificate.
•  Must have experience with marketing and selling products
•  Demonstrate-able experience in managing cash, accurately recording sales and making payments
•  A minimum of 3 years driving experience with an international organization or car rental, Experience of driving large Flat-bed Lorries– At least Grade 3 Driving License Required
•  Must be conversant with the Ghana Highway Code.
•  Must be able to write and speak fluent English.
•  Must be defensive minded and obedient to road signs and traffic regulations.
•  Must have the ability to plan and organize own assignment.
