The International Fertilizer Development Center (IFDC) is a public international organization addressing critical issues such as international food security, the alleviation of global hunger and poverty, environmental protection and the promotion of economic development and self-sufficiency. IFDC focuses on increasing productivity across the agricultural value chain in developing countries. This is achieved by the creation and transfer of effective and environmentally sound crop nutrient technology and agribusiness expertise.
The organization’s collaborative partnerships combine cutting-edge research and development with on-site training and education. Feed the Future USAID Agriculture Technology Transfer (FtF USAID ATT)

Its mission is to facilitate the sustainable improvement of agricultural productivity through the development and transfer of effective and environmentally sound plant nutrient technology and agricultural marketing.
The Feed the Future USAID Agriculture Technology Transfer Project (ATT Project) will address Ghana’s complex value chain issues, focusing on using technologies to improve the seed sector, and will identify sustainable solutions leading to increased competitiveness in the rice, soybean and maize value chains. The expected outcome is an increased availability and use of agricultural inputs and technologies to increase and sustain agricultural productivity in Northern Ghana. The project needs additional secretarial support for its operations and IFDC seeks to hire a full-time Secretary to be stationed at Tamale.
Reporting: The secretary will report to the DCOP.
Duties
• Assist staff in report writing and general correspondence.
• Assist staff in preparing presentations.
• Assist the Grants department in preparation of grant requests and awards.
• Manage the ATT filing system.
Qualification Required & Experience
• Minimum of five years of experience as secretary in a medium sized company or NGO
• Proven skills in computer use (MS Office suite)
• Meticulous work attitude.
• Affiliation to agriculture is a plus.
