A reputable company in the oil and gas industry is seeking a qualified and competent individual who meets the requirements to apply for the following role:

Job Title: General Manager, General Services
Department: General Service Department
Location: Head Office

Job Purpose

The GM, General Service will provide strategic leadership and management of the units/departments under the General Services Department, providing direction, managing the productivity and profitability of the units/departments and ensuring that efficient delivery and professional standards are achieved and maintained at all time in line with the company's strategic goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Contributing to the Strategy Direction of the company by:

•   Setting Human Resource Objectives and Strategy
•   Setting IT Strategy and Activities
•   Setting Estate Management Strategy
•   Setting Ethical Procurement strategy
•   Setting Health and Safety Strategy
•   Setting Communication Strategy
•   Administrative and Financial responsibilities

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Minimum of 1st Degree in Business Administration/Management or any of the social sciences
•   A Master's Degree from a recognised University
•   A minimum of 12 years working experience, 10 of which should have been in senior management or similar role
•   Industry experience in the petroleum or gas related sector is essential
•   A general understanding of company and procurement laws and processes
•   Working knowledge of Ghana Labour Law & Practice as well as Trade Unionism
•   Understanding of the fundamentals of workplace health and safety issues
•   Appreciation of the media relation and issues in Ghana
•   Understanding of environmental issues as related to the oil and gas industry
•   Good level of exposure on management information systems
•   A good appreciation of basic I.T tools and software
•   Knowledge of performance management systems and best practice applications
•   Proactive approach to work with a high sense of integrity
•   Excellent oral and written communication skills (including presentation and reporting writing) and the ability to communicate to all stakeholders at any level.
