Job Summary

The Mine Planning Engineer for each mine will be responsible for short, medium and long term mine planning requirements to achieve alignment of the Mine's plan with the Group's broad strategic goals. The position also coordinates group projects management and future improvements of mine planning systems (mainly vulcan).

Effectiveness areas

•   Mining systems knowledge
•   Shor, medium and long term production planing and scheduling
•   Production forecasts, reconciliation and reporting
•   Mining discipline budgeting and cost control
•   Knowledge of safety, health and environmental systems
•   Coordinate project feasibility studies to BFS status

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Degree in Mining Engineering or related field
•   7 years operational experience in mining environment with at least three years mine production experience (gold mining experience would be advantageous)
•   Knowledge of CAD-based GIS software
•   Knowledge of PMBok and / or project management
