Job Summary
• Provide technical inputs in the formulation and regular review of training and development policies and procedures;
• Monitor application of training and development policies to ensure they are applied fairly and consistently throughout the operations.
• Implement and help improve a talent management system for the company to ensure pipeline availability of skills; • Work with line managers on career development programs for key staff and follow up regularly to ensure that such programs are on track.
• Develop and implement a system for evaluating the effectiveness of training and development programs;
• Assist in job redesign and targeted organisation development actions;
• Identify and propose management development programs that can support the agreed capability development strategy;
• Work with line managers to identify gaps in employee capabilities and propose training programs to help lose these capability gaps;
• Design and facilitate training sessions as and when necessary,
• Apply the performance management system to ensure its efficient and consistent use and coach line managers in how to apply in their areas;
• Prepare and execute annual training budgets;
• Prepare, coordinate and deliver selected training programs on site
Qualification Required & Experience
• Degree in HRM/HRD or relevant Social Science Certificate;
• A minimum of 6 years working experience in similar position, 2 of which must be in managerial position; Experience in the gold mining industry is an added advantage;
• Ability to design and facilitate training events and organize programmes:
• Ability to prepare training budgets and monitor their execution;
• Excellent coaching and mentoring experience,
• Very good knowledge of HRD systems and principles:
• Organisational development experience with good presentation skills;
• Ability to design HRD systems e.g. training needs identification, training evaluation, career development,
• Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Power Point, Audio Visuals/digital projectors);
• Well-developed oral and written communication skills and ability to interact with people of diverse cultures and levels:
• A valid and current light duty vehicle license and proficiency in driving light vehicles
