Job Summary

•   Plan, organize, and coordinate grade control drilling, sampling and modelling to deliver quality ore to the process plant;
•   Design and implement policies and procedures for production grade control, reporting and reconciliation;
•   Consolidation of the Company's resource and reserve estimates;
•   Reconcile the unit's budgets and prepare monthly and quarterly reports as per company's reporting standards;
•   Train, direct and motivate own staff to ensure the achievement of set objectives;
•   Ensures the achievement of high standards of performance by the Company in the management of health, safety and the environment, particularly within the mine geology section;

Qualification Required & Experience

•   BSc.Geological Engineering;
•   Minimum of Five (5) years post qualification work experience, three of which must have been in the Mining Industry;
•   Good Computer Skills with Proficiency in geological and mining software such as Surpac;3D modeling; Mapinfo and other related software packages;
•   Must be conversant with the Mining Act and related regulations of the Republic of Ghana and be able to interpret and apply these laws and regulations;
•   Familiar with current geological technologies and practices;
•   Excellent computer skills in geological and mining software such as Surpac and Mapinfo is required;
•   Leadership experience and a strong desire to coach and develop others;
•   Well developed oral and written communication skills;
•   Must possess a valid Ghanaian driving license and have the ability to drive in rough terrain;
•   Ability to work under pressure with little supervision;
