Job Summary

•   Prepare Mine design, Production plans and Monitor the implementation thereof;
•   Analyze geological,survey and geotechnical data and design development layouts, stopping blocks, long hole drilling and blasting layouts;
•   Draw short to medium term mine production and development budget;
•   Formulate weekly and monthly production schedules to ensure that ore bodies are mined in efficient and cost effective manner;
•   Prepare daily, weekly, monthly and annual mine production and productivity analysis report and equipment utilization;
•   Prepare drill and blast schedules taking into account final pit designs and production requirements;
•   Train, direct and motivate own staff to ensure the achievement of set objectives;
•   Perform any other related duties that may be assigned from time to time by supervisor.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   BSc. Mining Engineering;
•   Minimum of five (5) years post qualification work experience, three of which must have been in the Mining Industry;
•   Must possess Blasting/Mine Supervisors certificate of competence;
•   Good Computer Skills with Proficiency in Mine Planning & Design software and other related packages;
•   Must be conversant with the Mining Act and related regulations of the Republic of Ghana, and be able to interpret and apply these laws and regulations;
•   Leadership experience and a strong desire to coach and develop others;
•   Well-developed oral and written communication skills;
•   Ability to work under pressure with little supervision
