Job Summary

•   Provide quality general medical, surgical and occupational health nursing care to workers;
•   Contribute to assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care;
•   Collaborate with the Medical Doctor to provide physical and psychological support to workers;
•   Ensure quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuring health outcomes against patient care, goals and standards,
•   Recommend necessary adjustments to attain client care by following laid down procedures;
•   Prepare and present accurate monthly statistics to Medical Officer;
•   Maintain nursing supplies by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies;
•   Maintain safe and clean working environment by implementing infection control policy and procedure;
•   Performs any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Medical Doctor.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   BSc. Nursing or Diploma in Registered General Nursing from a reputable institution;
•   Must have a valid registration with the Nurses and Midwives Council, Ghana (NMC) and must have completed the mandatory full year rotation;
•   Minimum of four (4) years' post qualification work experience two (2) of which should have been in the mining industry;
•   Ability to carry out minor surgical procedures like foreign body removal, removals of ingrown toe nail and close fracture reduction;
•   Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites and related applications;
•   Well developed oral and written communication skills;
•   Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact with people of diverse cultures;
•   A valid Ghanaian driver's license will be advantageous;
