Description Of Job

Purpose:
The successful candidate will be reporting to the Processing Manager and will be managing and coordinating the development and implementation of skills training to ensure continuous development of all processing personnel, Gold processing, Laboratory and Tailings Management.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:

•  Training Management Systems for process and maintenance requirements
•  Technical writing of Process Training Documentation incorporating but not limited to Procedures, Work Instructions, Guidelines and Standards
•  Induction development and delivery
•  Assist in the cyanide code certification
•  Management of external vendor relationships and training developers
•  Data entry and recording of training compliance and evidence gathering
•  Assist in document control development and implementation
•  Assist in process safety system development, specifically Permit-to-Work Systems
•  Development and Updating of the Process and Maintenance training needs
•  Mentor and assist processing Trainers and Assessors
•  Assist in the identification and development of training packages, to maintain legislative requirements, operational currency, while enhancing site safety protocols and productivity targets.
•  Optimize training facilities and scheduling to achieve staff development targets and key performance indicators
•  Maximizing and developing local employment, while optimizing safety and efficiency of operations

Qualification Required & Experience

Key Requirements:

•  Recognized qualification in BSc Mineral Engineering, BSc Extractive Metallurgy, Diploma in Mineral Engineering or its equivalent
•  Must be computer literate - MS Office Suite
•  Five years’ experience in complex gold processing plants at supervisory level
•  Demonstrate knowledge of complex metallurgical processing, preferably in the areas of Crushing and Milling, CIL, Pre-leach thickening and Tailings operations
•  Demonstrated success in the development, delivery and assessment of processing and maintenance related training programs
•  Demonstrates a clear understanding of Training Legislative requirements within Ghana, for mining and processing environments
