Job Vacancy For Internal Auditor (Kumasi)



A reputable state owned Enterprise is inviting applications from suitable qualified persons for appointments to fill the following position:- Internal Auditor

Job Functions

•   Examines cash and petty cash books, bank reconciliations statements, estates revenue books and registers
•   Conducts surprise cash counts at the cash offices and estates revenue offices
•   Monitors the payments of salaries/wages at pay days
•   Conducts site inspections of work done by sub-contractors
•   Ensure that the financial regulations as regards receipts and payments are adhered to
•   Pre-audits all payment vouchers, medical bills and staff traveling and transport claim
•   Post audits all stores receipts, payroll vouchers, cash records, and final draft account up to trial balance
•   Check stores and estates revenue records periodically
•   Carries out periodic examination of assets register
•   Ensure that Top Management Decisions and Board Policies are implemented accordingly
•   Performs any other duties that may be assigned from to time

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A recognised Business Degree, Professional ACcounting qualification such as CA, ACCA, CIMA (Gh). Level II or equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience

Competencies

•   Ability to identify errors and fraud
•   Ability to make recommendations on Audit exercise
•   Knowledge of basic book keeping and Accounts up to Trial Balance.
