A reputable Upstart Health Insurance Company, a subsidiary of a broadly diversified world class organization who specializes in providing protection against the costs of medical services to employers, employees and families.

The Role

The operations Manager role reports directly to the Managing Director. This is a key appointment for the company and requires a seasoned manager who can plan, direct and coordinate the operations of this vibrant young company. The operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring and improving the performance, productivity, efficiency and profitably of departmental and organization operations through the provision of effective methods and strategies.

Responsibilities

•   Coordinate, manage and monitor the workings or various departments in the organisation
•   Prepare and control operational budgets and plan effective strategies for the financial wellbeing of the company
•   Improve processes and policies in support of organisational goals, formulate and implement departmental and company policies and procedures to maximize output
•   Monitor adherence to company rules, procedures and industry regulations
•   Manage quality and quantity of employee productivity, delegate tasks and accountabilities, monitor and evaluate performance
•   Liaise with top management and assist in the development of strategic plans for operational activity and implement and manage operational plans
•   Constantly identify and implement strategies to improve economic and technical performance of the company and ensure a high level of client and customer satisfaction.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Industry relevant production experience
•   Knowledge of general insurance principles, laws and regulations pertaining to the health insurance industry in Ghana
•   Analytical reasoning, technical and quantitative literacy
•   Knowledge and experience in organisational effectiveness and operations management
•   Knowledge of business and management principles and practices
•   Knowledge of financial and accounting principles and practices
•   Information technology skills
•   Unquestioned integrity and strong influencing skills
•   Mission-driven, gender and culturally sensitive
