The Deputy General Manager shall deputize the General Manager (GM) and support him in achieving the overall goals of the Bank through: strategic planning, forecasting and timely implementation of policies, programmes and Board decisions.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

•   Providing leadership in operations and business development
•   Assisting the GM in preparing strategic plans, annual financial projections and any other plans and programmes that will impact positively on the profitability of the Bank
•   Supervising and coordinating the activities of departments
•   Monitoring and reporting regularly, operational performances of the Bank and reporting same to GM
•   Reviewing and reporting to GM on investment planning, risk assessment and performance
•   Ensuring timely submission of regulatory and prudential returns to various recipients.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Bachelor degree in Accounting, Banking and Finance, Business Administration, Economics etc. or professional qualification eg. CA /ACCA / CIB/CIMA etc. MBA is an added advantage.
•   a minimum of 7 years post qualification experience in banking of which 5 years must have been in management level.

Skills

•   Excellent communication, interpersonal, quantitative and analytical skills
•   Be innovative, proactive, creative and should possess an achievable character
•   Skillful and should have profound knowledge in operational banking, MSME development and credit administration.
•   Be computer literate in Microsoft Office Word. Excel, PowerPoint etc
•   Ability to adapt to challenging working environment and work under pressure
•   Carry out studies to assess the economic potential and opportunities for new businesses.

MUST POSSESS THE FOLLOWING LEADERSHIP QUALITIES:
Honesty and exhibit high sense of integrity, commitment, professionalism, effective communication, astute, resilient to stress and an achiever.
