Job Vacancy For Food & Beverage Manager At Eusbett Hotel (Sunyani)
Eusbett Hotel is the only 3 star hotel in the Brong Ahafo region and currently operates 112 guest rooms and 5 conference halls. The CIMG Hospitality Facility of the Year (2006) is currently at advanced stages of constructing what would become the biggest conference centre in any hotel in Ghana. Eusbett Hotel as part its expansion drive and quest to upgrade to a 4 Star hotel requires the services of an experienced professional to fill the following managerial position:
Responsible for:
• Creating a harmonious, relaxed and enjoyable environment within the hotel
• High quality and timely service of food and beverage at all outlets
• Creating a productive, efficient and harmonious staff work environment
• Management of hotel control systems
• Development and pursuit of sales targets for food and beverage outlets
• Maintenance of company quality and service standards
• Ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and repeat business
• Supervision and management of food and beverage staff
• Manage logistics and supply for the operation of all company functions and events
• Maintain safety, security and cleanliness standards are maintained at all functions
• Plan for future development of facilities and service improvements
Main activities:
• Organise the service of food and beverage for guests
• Establish and maintain control systems for the operation of bars and food facilities
• Increasing sales at all opportunities through the performance of the bar and floor staff
• Ensure accurate preparation of reports and till sheets
• Co-ordinate functions with sales, operations and kitchen staff
• Manage complaints according to guidelines and so that customers are satisfied and impressed
• Organise and manage performance review of all food and beverage staff twice yearly
• Communicate with the General Manager regarding any problems or changes needed with food and beverage service
• Ensure Responsible Service of Alcohol and Responsible Conduct of Gambling policies are implemented
• Ensure that security of money and stock is rigidly maintained
• Supervise and implement the training of food and beverage staff
• Ensure staffing costs conform to guidelines
• Overall supervision of food and beverage staff to ensure discipline and ensure all tasks are carried out correctly and according to standard
• Maintain equipment and supply levels needed for functions
• Prepare and distribute running sheets for functions, checking of client invoices and function reports
• Handle function complaints in a way to satisfy clients, ensure customer retention, and maximise returns to the company
• Ensure the safety and security of staff, customers and equipment during functions
• Maintain ingredients and beverage supply - stock and security
• Development and review of systems manuals
• Organise bi-weekly Food and Beverages meeting with all staff in the department
• Submit monthly Food and Beverages report
Reporting to: General Manager
Qualification Required & Experience
• A degree, HND or Diploma in a relevant field
• Experience in a supervisory or similar role in at least a 3 Star hotel
• Demonstrated entrepreneurial approach to business
• Must be results-oriented and versatile
• Must have strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be a team player with proven abilities to excel in dynamic competitive environments
• Must have strong integrity
