JOB PURPOSE
Reporting to the Head of Corporate Communications and CSR, the Communications Manager will ensure media visibility for all company operations in particular for the various products and services and CSR initiatives.
You will also develop and implement our overall Communication and Perception Management strategy aimed at influencing targeted stakeholders.
Work with the events team to develop events that are aligned to our strategic objectives and drive the business agenda

Key Responsibilities
• Initiate and syndicate press releases in agreed media ensuring that the right message is targeted at the right customer segment with the right angle.
• Provide Tigo website, Call centre and Facebook administrators with all press releases as soon as they are approved.
• Ensure prompt action is taken on negative stories that impact Tigo Ghana through rejoinders and other accepted means of rebuttal when appropriate.
• Track news coverage of Tigo activities and major events and provide report on each event.
• Create plans that sustain messaging with our stakeholders to extend communication about our brand.
• Create and execute integrated communication plans that are aligned to our strategic objectives.
• Prepare interview schedules and manage media interviews at all events.
• Liaise with Events & Sponsorship team and relevant agencies to guarantee the best customer/guest experience at all events.
Qualification Required & Experience
• University degree in Communications, or social sciences
• 5+ years relevant post National Service working experience in both Journalism and PR;
