A leading Multi-National Company based in Tema has vacancy for the following position and is seeking to recruit qualified, competent and interested candidates to fill the position:- Mechanical Technician II (Cranes)

Position Summary

Under the general guidance of the Mechanical Supervisor (Cranes), this position shall be required to repair, maintain and make modification works all container handling equipment's especially the cranes.

Competency Requirements

•   Mechanical Engineering Technician (MET) II certificate from a recognised institution or equivalent qualification
•   Must have at least two years working experience with skills in maintenance and repair of cranes, container handling equipment's etc.
•   Must be able to replace, repair, adjust any major mechanical, hydraulic parts such as Engines, Transmissions, Hydraulic pumps, etc.
•   Able to interpret Hydraulic, Pneumatic and fuel diagrams electri drawings, layouts etc.
•   Familiar with instrumentation and special tools
•   Must have the ability and willingness to work long and odd hours

Major accountabilities among others

•   Ensures that the maintenance, breakdown services and or remedial works (Mechanical) of container handling equipment are gone in a cost effective manner.
•   Ensures that emergency work is followed up by reporting to the Supervisor and/or his leader the operational efficiency of equipment's after repair works
