Safe Water Network (SWN) is a not-for-profit organization that addresses one of the most significant global challenges facing current and future generations - access to safe water, a critical global issue and pressing global health challenge impacting more than 1 billion people.

Description Of Job

Responsibilities:

•  Working under the supervision of the Country Director, provide overall leadership and direction to the development and implementation of programs to support the objectives and plans of the organization
•  Supervise the day to day operations and management of both new and existing projects
•  Lead the preparation of project plans and budgets and assist with the development of funding proposals
•  Promote visibility for ongoing projects and the organization as a whole by engaging stakeholders across sectors, including government agencies, corporates and NGOs
•  Provide technical support to the local team on new and existing projects
•  Assist with Partnership development by networking with other agencies and partners to foster synergies, information sharing and scale-up intervention
•  Assume other assignments as may be deemed necessary for the successful achievement of objectives of the organization

Position will be based in Accra, with travels to Volta, Western and Eastern Regions with rural parts of Greater Accra Region. Infrequent travels to other parts of the country

Qualification Required & Experience

Qualifications and Other Required Skills:

•  Masters degree in Engineering, Urban Planning, Sanitation or related fields
•  Minimum of 5-8 years working experience in related activities with a minimum of three (3) in a position of team leadership/management
•  Ability to represent SWN and to develop strong relationships with existing and potential partners
•  Strong project management skills with experience with complex multifaceted projects that have resulted in measurable successes and program growth
•  Proven ability to deliver on time and within budget
•  Ability to operate in a start-up environment, requiring a highly focused but appropriately flexible exercise of resources and judgment
•  Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
•  Proficiencies in computer applications including Auto CAD
•  Capable of delivering reports of the highest quality
