Job Vacancy For General Manager, Human Resources & Administration



A leading IT solutions and assurances services provider seeks to recruit individuals with the requisite professional competencies and experience to fill the following roles: General Manager, Human Resources & Administration

Role purpose

Responsible for the development and monitoring of the human resources management strategies, systems, policies and procedures to create a harmonious industrial and good organisational climate to attract and retain then requisite skills mix. Scope of work includes oversight responsibility for the Administration function.

Key Responsibilities

•   Provide technical expertise in the development and implementation of Human Resource & Administration strategy/business plan as input into the overall Corporate strategy of the company
•   Provide leadership in the development and monitor the implementation of established policies to ensure the recruitment, selection and placement of the right calibre of employees for the company
•   Lead the implementation of a performance management system in line with the company's strategy and monitor to ensure the sustenance of a performance oriented culture
•   Develop and support the implementation of succession planning and effective talent management systems within the company to improve management bench strength/succession
•   Provide leadership in salary administration and conditions of service to ensure equitable application
•   Review and analyze salary/benefits surveys and design compensation/benefit packages to aid management/board in decision-making process regarding employees conditions of service
•   Develop / establish an effective two-way communication between management and employees to ensure harmonious working environment
•   Provide technical support in identifying specific training needs for the development and implementation of staff training & development programmes
•   Oversight responsibility for the company's administration function including the development and monitoring of policies and systems for the management of support services, facilities, estate / property, transport and security.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Master's Degree or its equivalent professional qualification in Business Administration, Human Resource Management or related field
•   Must be a member of a recognised professional body
•   Ten (10) years working experience with at least 5 years in management position

Required Competencies

•   In-depth knowledge and understanding of Labour Law and Regulations
•   Excellent knowledge and understanding of strategic Human Resource Management
•   In-depth knowledge of and ability to manage and Administration function effectively
•   Sound decision making based on thorough analysis
•   Strong leadership, coaching, mentoring, counselling and interpersonal skills in a team setting
•   Strong negotiation and conflict management skills
•   Excellent communication and presentation skills
