Job Purpose:

To lead in the development of Learning & Development strategy for Tullow Ghana Limited, ensuring the creation of solutions/activities to build capabilities for improved business and employee performance.

Responsibilities / Key Objectives:

•   Provides support to the Resourcing, Development and Talent Manager in developing the business strategic learning and development plan and budget for TGL
•   Provides centre of expertise advice and guidance to HR Advisors in all learning solutions and people capabilities
•   Builds and maintains learning and development supplier database for TGL
•   Develop leadership and management development framework and methodology adapted from the group framework.
•   Feed L&D solutions, initiatives into the localisation plan and priorities. Support the localisation planning process by designing appropriate solutions.
•   Manages supplier relationships to ensure TGL gets value for money in our learning activities
•   Identifies appropriate learning suppliers for all our learning and development requirements/needs
•   Negotiates to ensure learning is delivered to agreed standards with facility owners and learning providers etc
•   Plans and coordinates learning events through the HR Services team
•   Prepares periodic reports on all learning events.
•   Leads in the design and delivery of learning interventions /solutions occasionally facilitating employee, management and leadership learning sessions
•   Facilitates and reinforce the transfer of learning back onto the job
•   Assists in the periodic impact assessment of training events
•   Prepares all documentation for effective calibration process
•   Establishes and maintains a functional library
•   Builds relationships with Educational institutions
•   Manages the National Service intakes into TGL
•   Develops, implements, monitors and evaluates induction programme
•   Manages the Scholarship awards by the company in conjunction with British Council
•   Manages the performance management expertise function.  Coaches, briefs leaders on the principles and execution via HR Advisors.
•   Thought leadership on Learning & Development
•   Other duties as may be assigned to you from time to time

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Minimum of Bachelors degree in HR from a reputable University.
•   A Professional qualification in HR practice from a recognized professional HR body- IHRMP, CIPD, SHRM, SPHR, CHRP, etc will be an added advantage.

Skills & Experience:

•   minimum six (6) years learning and development management experience of which at least two (4) years should have been in a multinational organization and preferably with O&G industry experience
•   Ability to network with and influence people at all levels, within and outside the organization
•   Ability to facilitate sessions,
•   Ability to relate to people at all levels of the organization
•   Ability to write excellent reports
•   Ability to competently use Microsoft office applications
•   Ability to pay attention to details and be accurate
•   Excellent written, listening and oral communication skills, displaying confidence, assertiveness and professionalism.
