Exciting opportunity to be part of a strong Group management team. Our client, an organisation with subsidiaries in diverse industries in Ghana and Africa is seeking dynamic and accomplished professionals to lead and monitor the performance of the Group and drive its growth as a leading West Africa holding company.

Reporting to the Executive Director, you will provide vision and leadership for the development, implementation and use of information management and technology, including developing IT governance policies, standards, infrastructural designs, systems, applications and network security

Key Responsibilities

•   Direct technological research and identify new initiatives and infrastructure to support all operations and projects
•   Provide inputs and participate in the development of the overall corporate strategy of the Group
•   Prepare annual budget and work plans for information Technology activities for approval by the Board and monitor its implementation
•   Establish and maintain strong professional working relationships with Telecommunication companies, Regulatory agencies, service providers, external auditors and other stakeholders in the area of IT management
•   Approve, prioritise and control projects and porject portfolios as they relate to the selectiom, acquisition, development and installation of major information systems within the Group
•   Provide technical advice in designing, developing and maintaining the Group's webpage/site and content upgrades
•   Negotiate and administer contracts and service agreements with consultants, vendors, out-sourcing agencies, etc.
•   Prepare annual budget and work plans for information Technology activities for approval by the Board and monitor its implementation
•   Prepare periodic consolidated reports on the performance of the group IT system

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A master's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Electronic / Electrical Engineering or related field
•   Recognised professional certification in a relevant field is a requirement
•   Minimum of 12 years progressive work experience with at least 8 years in a senior management position

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

•   In-depth knowledge and understanding of current network hardware, protocols and standards
•   Excellent experience and understanding in software Quality Assurance and Control, Technical writing and Business Intelligence Aanalysis
•   Extensive knowledge of designing, developing, implementing and supporting applicationson at least two of the following operating systems, UNIX, MVS, Windows, Tandem
•   Business-driven mind-set with strong negotiation and consultative skills
•   Strong communication, interpersonal and networking skills
