Job Vacancy For Principal Programmes Manager (Research) At National Peace Council
To provide technical and operational support for the implementation of programmes and projects of the Council.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Oversees the conduct of research on programmes and activities of the Council.
• Coordinates the identification of possible relevant areas for research.
• Provides training and capacity building in research for staff of the Council and other stakeholders.
• Oversees the production of quality research reports and publications,
• Coordinates peer review activities relating to research.
• Liaises with Regional Programme Units of the Council to ensure efficient and effective implementation of programmes and activities of the Council.
• Supervises the collation of data for the preparation of the annual work plan and the budget of the Department.
• Liaises with strategic partners and provides inputs for resource mobilisation in collaboration with other programme management support units in the area of research.
• Supervises the preparation of annual and other periodic reports of the Department.
• Liaises with development partners, MMDAs and other relevant key stakeholders to ensure effective networking in support of research activities of the Council.
• Supervises the preparation of performance indicators for research.
Qualification Required & Experience
• A minimum of a master's degree in Social or Natural Sciences, or Peace and Conflict Studies or related programme from an accredited tertiary institution.
• A minimum of four (4) years post-bachelor's degree relevant
• work experience in a reputable institution

• Knowledge in peace building, governance, gender and conflict resolution
• Leadership, networking, monitoring and management skills
• Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills,
• Good negotiation, arbitration and diplomatic skills.
• Knowledge in financial management regulations.
• Knowledge of conflict situation in Ghana.
• Good report writing skills.
• Proficiency in relevant computer application.
• Knowledge of programmes management
• Extensive qualitative and quantitative analytical skills.
• High integrity and ethics
