The Role:

The successful candidate will hunt for and secure new high value commercial business opportunities by performing a proactive, mobile, value adding financial partnership rote in the commercial market (SME and Commercial segments). To market a comprehensive range of customized business financial solutions, tailored to meet client needs in terms of business growth and potential.

Key Responsibilities:

•   Prospect for and sell structured financial solutions to new business clients in the Commercial and SME segments
•   Promote, provide advice on, sell and structure a wide and diverse range of financial solutions customised to best meet the financial needs of high value com mercial clients
•   Develop and implement a calling schedule for business leads to establish financial needs and to assist potential new business clients to better understand their financial options
•   Source, develop, prospect for and close sales leads from other divisions within the bank e.g. International Business Centre, Client Coverage, Home Loans, Branches, SME Managers etc
•   Analyze customer data to identify and plan new business banking opportunities.
•   Provide a central advisory/information/query handling service point for new business
•   Perform a proactive liaison role between clients and back office service fulfillment and credit functions to get new business onto the books
•   Notify clients regarding the approval/ decline of credit loan facilities, which also entails, keeping the client au-fait or informed during the credit process
•   Complete disclosure to the clients in terms of accreditation, service fees, and commission.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   First Degree in BCom or Banking & Finance.
•   3-4 years banking experience, with experience in Sales.
•   Proven successful sales track record in the financial services industry.
•   Experience in management of Sales teams
•   Comprehensive credit/risk management experience.
