Job Summary
To support its activities in the North of Ghana, Masara N’Arziki is currently seeking to fill the position of Fleet Officer.
Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, the Fleet/ IT Officer will be responsible for the overall operation of the GPS tracking of the fleet and capacity building, logistics-fleet administration, information management and the Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) tracking system and Fleet Management System (FMS) maintenance, evaluation, development, troubleshooting and reporting, in accordance with the established procedures and guidelines.
Key duties will include:
• Ensuring all company vehicles are administered in order to comply with current legislation.
• Maintain the best practices for an efficient operation of the Fleet Systems Information & Administration in the operations department in order to maximise the fleet standard KPIs (Key Performance Indicators);
• Manage the existing GPS driven fleet management system (FMS).
• Produce regular reports on the fleet overall movements.
• Provide analysis to assist the Head of Operations to monitor and evaluate the performance indicators of the company Vehicles, aiming to achieve the maximum utilization.
• Manage GPS data analysis on the vehicle routing & scheduling.
• To manage Fleet reports on the reporting and monitoring of vehicle scheduled maintenance & repairs, overhaul, reconditioning and modifications etc.
• Ensure overall management of GPS devices installation and configuration, daily inventorying and troubleshooting, vehicle tracking and tracing, mapping waypoints and routes and geo-fencing.
• Provide daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports from the fleet management system.
• Manage the relationship between the Masara and the organisation providing the GPS services.
• To report all relevant information to the correct regulatory bodies in order to satisfy requirements in relation to company vehicle insurance and vehicle policy.
• Ensuring that all documentation relating to vehicles is organised and stored to ensure accessibility whilst taking into consideration safety and security.
• Perform any other duties as requested.
Qualification Required & Experience
Education
• Certificate, diploma, or any advance degree is preferably, in Business Administration, Engineering (preferably Mechanical Engineering), Transport Economics, or other fields related to fleet and IT management and /or surface transport.
Experience
• At least 3 years of progressively responsible professional experience related to fleet/ IT management and / or surface transport and/or logistics.
• Experience with information system development and maintenance.
Technical Skills & Knowledge
• In-depth knowledge of configuration, management, troubleshooting, analysis and reporting of the GPS based Fleet Management System (FMS);
• Extensive knowledge of various reporting software packages.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook).

• Self-motivated, pro active, flexible and able to work with a high degree of autonomy;
Language
• Fluency in oral and written English.
